Microneedling vs Chemical Peels

A common question I receive from my clients is in regards to the differences between microneedling and chemical peels. While these two procedures both provide many benefits, there are a few key differences to note when deciding what is best for you.

Chemical peels are better at getting rid of sun damage spots, freckles or melasma (a common skin disorder where the body produces too much melanin and creates large "freckle" spots on the face or large brown patches). From my extensive experience with my clients who have done a series of either of these procedures, chemical peels have always been on top for these skin concerns! Chemical peels also help pore size, redness, fine lines, texture & acne.

Microneedling has proved itself to be the best at getting rid of fine lines, deeper wrinkles, and acne scars. But it also proves to be good at helping pore size, acne and definitely texture. Based on that you really can't go wrong with either because they're both beneficial in many ways. The key benefits are what matter most when it comes to deciding. I hope this helps you decide on what's right for you! :)
